Job Summary To promote the physical and emotional well-being of students by providing medical care, managing chronic conditions, and supporting a healthy school environment through health education, early intervention, and communication with families and staff.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently, make sound judgments, and stay calm under pressure
- Knowledge of school health regulations and public health practices
- Comfortable using digital tools for documentation and communication
- Commitment to Catholic values and willingness to support the school’s mission
Nice To Haves
- Experience in pediatric, school, or community health setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Administer first aid, medication, and emergency care per protocol
- Manage chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies) for individual students
- Communicate with parents regarding health concerns and follow-up care
- Work with teachers and staff to support students with medical needs in the classroom
- Coordinate with outside healthcare providers and local health departments when necessary
- Follow school safety and emergency procedures accurately.
