About The Position

The School District of Washington is seeking a Substitute Lunch Monitor at Augusta Elementary for the 2026/2027 School Year. This position involves supervising students during lunch shifts, including time in the cafeteria and during lunch recess. The role requires indoor and outdoor supervision across multiple grade levels or class sections, depending on the building's size. Lunch Monitors are responsible for ensuring student safety and reporting any incidents to the appropriate supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or higher
• Satisfactory completion of Background Checks standard for school volunteers and school employees
• Satisfactory completion of required training standard for school employees

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the cafeteria, in designated recess areas, and hallways.
• Provide various assistance to students based on individual needs.
• Report accidents, events, and/or other incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintain regular attendance as it aligns to the scope of this position.
• Additional duties necessary for special events, or to assist in an emergency situation.
• Participate in professional development activities and/or training as required or needed for this position.
