About The Position

Growing Futures Early Education Center, an early childhood program serving children from birth to age five, is hiring a Substitute Kitchen Assistant to support its kitchen team when staff are unavailable due to illness or approved time off. The role assists with preparing food supplied by a third-party vendor, delivering meals to classrooms, and cleaning up after meal service. Work hours are during the week, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities

• Assemble food, dishes, food carts, utensils, and other supplies needed for timely meal preparation and delivery to classrooms.
• Deliver meals from the central kitchen to assigned classrooms.
• Assist with cleanup and dishwashing while following commercial-kitchen sanitation and safety procedures.
• Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment.
