About The Position

As a Substitute Food Service Worker with Whitsons, you will help serve nutritious meals that power learning in school settings. This flexible, on-call role allows you to work around your life, with family-friendly hours and no nights or weekends. You will prep, portion, and serve meals, set up and clean serving areas, follow food safety guidelines, and contribute to a positive mealtime atmosphere. Whitsons believes every child deserves a healthy meal to succeed, and as a substitute team member, you'll help keep the kitchen running smoothly and students smiling.

Requirements

• Speak and read English
• Ability to lift 40 pounds or more
• Stand, walk, talk and hear
• Use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools and controls
• Reach with hands and arms
• Be able to see in dim lit areas such as walk-ins and storage areas

Nice To Haves

• Food Handling certification
• Some experience helpful
• A positive attitude and willingness to help
