About The Position

New Covenant Academy is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Substitute Food Service Staff. This position involves assisting in the kitchen with various tasks as needed. The hours are not guaranteed and depend on the needs of the kitchen team. The general program operates from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with potential variations in end times.

Requirements

Knowledge of basic kitchen fundamentals
Customer service focused and oriented
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to communicate verbally and work cooperatively with employees and students
Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Must be able to stand and walk for periods of four to five hours in length, each shift
Must be able to see, hear, reach, bend, balance, and transport various objects weighing up to 25-30 lbs. repeatedly during a shift
Rarely, it may be necessary to lift up to 50 lbs.
Demonstrate evidence of regeneration and dedication to the cause of Christ, and have an expressed desire (call) to work in a Christian School.
Have a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Have a Christian testimony reflected in a daily walk that allows being a true example to all students.
Implement their jobs “as unto the Lord”
Be active in a local body of believers and should be faithful in reading God’s Word and daily prayer.
Agree fully and without reservation with the school’s Statement of Faith.
