We are seeking an experienced and certified Substitute Fire Life Safety Deputy to join our team at Hard Rock Hotel New York. This role is critical to maintaining the safety, security, and wellbeing of all guests, Band Members, and visitors. The Fire Life Safety Deputy is responsible for overseeing fire prevention, life safety systems, emergency preparedness, and security operations—delivering best-in-class safety standards while supporting an exceptional luxury guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all Fire Life Safety and related security operations with vigilance, professionalism, and precision.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the property to promote a safe and secure environment for guests, Band Members, and visitors.
  • Enforce all fire safety, life safety, and emergency preparedness policies in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and hotel standards.
  • Operate, monitor, and respond to fire alarm systems, life safety systems, security cameras, and emergency communications while ensuring systems are tested, inspected, and documented as required.
  • Conduct regular inspections of fire extinguishers and other fire protection equipment, identify hazards or unsafe conditions, and communicate findings with appropriate recommendations for corrective action.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, logs, inspection reports, and incident documentation in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Take a leadership role during emergencies, fire drills, and evacuations, coordinating response efforts and providing clear direction when it matters most.
  • Perform fire-fighting duties in emergency situations and train Band Members on fire safety awareness and emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with hotel leadership, department managers, and external authorities such as local fire departments to ensure seamless life safety operations.
  • Support overall security operations by monitoring employee and visitor access, patrolling the property, investigating incidents, and providing first aid when authorized and trained.
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest, employee, and company information.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Represent the Hard Rock brand with confidence and integrity.
  • Execute all responsibilities with attention to detail, consistency, and a commitment to delivering elevated safety standards that support an exceptional luxury guest experience.
