About The Position
This is a part-time, on-call position for a Substitute Elementary Paraeducator within the Substitute Services department. The role involves providing instructional support as needed. The position is on an as-needed basis, with no set length of work year or day beyond being on call.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with groups of children.
- High school diploma.
- Attach one of the required materials to pre-qualify: Passing score from SJUSD's Proficiency Exam (April 2005 to current), Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST), Official transcripts demonstrating completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units), or Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher).
- If foreign degree/transcripts, must have coursework evaluated for equivalency to a U.S. accredited institution.
- Possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain, a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license.
