About The Position
The Substation Wireman maintains and performs repairs, modifications, replacements, and installation of a wide variety of electrical and electronic equipment systems while adhering to Energy Erector's Safety First Culture. This role supports the construction of new Substations as well as modifications and upgrades of existing Substations for Electrical Utility Companies.
Requirements
- Must have previous substation experience.

Responsibilities
- Have advanced knowledge of the tasks required to perform all phases of substation work in accordance with the power company standards and perform the work as directed by your supervisor.
- The Substation knowledge that is required includes hook up and dress transformers, set poles, equipment, and steel structures, adjust switches, and pull and terminate control cables.
- Responsible for completion of all required paperwork and job logs.
- Able to work with limited or no supervision.
- Troubleshoot power and control circuits.
- Have no issues with heights or working from a boom lift.
- Understand, communicate and train hand signals required for equipment operation.
