About The Position

This position is responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of substations. The technician will be accountable to a senior or foreman level technician for all substation maintenance, training, and operation functions. They will maintain all components associated with the efficient operation of assigned substations, both energized and de-energized. The role also involves assisting with the supervision and training of others in the construction and maintenance of electrical equipment in substations and the maintenance of the substation yard. Responsibilities include carrying out work order assignments, interpreting prints, and preparing daily time sheets, material tickets, and field and inspection reports.

Requirements

  • Qualifications and experience to be determined for placement at one of five job grade levels: Substation Technician I, II, III, IV, or Journey Level.
