About The Position

Kimley-Horn's Puerto Rico's office is seeking an Experienced Electrical Engineer OR Engineer in Training with 2+ years of Substation Protection & Controls experience to join their Power Delivery team. The role involves supporting P&C design project deliverables for voltages ranging from 4kV up to 500kV, with a particular emphasis on 115kV voltages and above. The engineer will produce detailed substation P&C design packages compliant with required client and national technical standards.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of protection & control engineering design experience in the electricity transmission & distribution sector
  • ETAP experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (advanced degrees are a plus)
  • EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months required
  • Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
  • I/O mapping
  • Construction documentation/outage sequencing
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment

  • Advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering
  • ETAP experience
