OUC - The Reliable One, is presently seeking a Substation Electrician I to join the Transmission, Substation, System Protection division. We are looking for a qualified Journeyman Substation Electrician who can safely perform maintenance, testing, and both high- and low-voltage switching on substation equipment while working effectively within a team. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and proactive in supporting crew readiness, adhering to safety procedures, and contributing to the development and evaluation of fellow electricians. In this role, you will review job assignments and safety procedures, ensure all tools and equipment are prepared for each assignment, and help keep vehicles and materials properly stocked. Additionally, you will assist in training and mentoring other electricians while contributing to performance evaluations and overall team development. Job Purpose: This is a qualified Substation Electrician I (Journeyman Substation Electrician) position. Performs maintenance and testing of all substation equipment. The Substation Electrician I works under the direction of the Lead Electrician on a multi-person crew maintaining substation equipment or other assigned duties as necessary.
