About The Position
GFT is seeking an Substation Drafter to join our power group in the St. Louis, MO office. This is an onsite position, requiring 5 days per week in office. Requirements
- Associated Degree or pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of related experience in the substation or power industry.
- Demonstrated interest in substation or power engineering through applied academic coursework, internships, or past experiences.
- Working knowledge of CADD Software
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Good written and verbal communications skills
Responsibilities
- Prepares plans and details with limited complexity in support of broader engineering activities
- Preparing schematic and wiring layouts
- Working with our engineers to incorporate redline markups
- Works within a design group to complete projects
