About The Position

Liberty Resources is currently seeking a Credentialed Substance Use Therapist for our Integrated Healthcare Clinic in Fulton, NY. The Substance Use Therapist will provide treatment from a holistic, dual-recovery lens, working with clients to address their mental health, physical health, and social health needs. The role also involves supporting client engagement with psychiatric evaluation, medication management services, Medication Assisted Treatment, and Peer Support. Therapists are skilled professionals who provide flexible, person-oriented outpatient therapy, facilitate group sessions, and are committed to quality care using evidence-based practices with a practical, problem-solving approach. They maintain a trauma-informed atmosphere to encourage the growth of all counselors.

Requirements

  • NYS Licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, LMFT), CASAC II or Advanced CASAC preferred, but CASAC-T or CASAC-P with relevant experience will be considered.
  • Must demonstrate the clinical knowledge necessary to support client achievement of their identified goals.
  • Must have ability to work one evening per week.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with clients with substance use and co-occurring disorders.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Commitment to providing quality services and outcome driven performance measures.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years of experience working in an OASAS funded facility a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide treatment from a holistic, dual-recovery lens, working with clients to attend to their mental health, physical health, and social health needs.

  • Create a dynamic and efficient path for change and problem resolution through individual, family and group therapy.
  • Maintain a trauma-informed atmosphere.
  • Work one evening per week.
