About The Position

Griffith Centers is seeking a licensed behavioral health professional to oversee our Substance Use Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in Colorado Springs. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field required.
  • Active, unrestricted clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with co-occurring disorders and high-risk youth populations.
  • Ability to work with sensitivity to the cultural and/or socioeconomic diversity of the agency’s clients and staff.
  • Ability to maintain healthy emotional and physical boundaries in personal and professional relationships.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
  • Expertise in evidence-based substance use treatment practices
  • Knowledge of adolescent development and family systems
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background screening as a condition of employment, in accordance with Colorado Department of Human Services regulations for childcare facilities. This screening includes initial and ongoing state criminal background checks, fingerprinting, sex offender registry searches, and abuse and neglect clearances. If the employee has lived in any other state within the past five years, equivalent background and abuse/neglect checks from those states will also be conducted.
  • In addition, employees are required to complete a health evaluation or physical examination prior to beginning service to confirm fitness for duty, and annually thereafter.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) licensure preferred (State of Colorado).
  • Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) or ability to provide supervision toward licensure preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in substance use treatment, preferably with adolescents.
  • Prior experience in IOP, PHP, or similar level-of-care settings strongly preferred.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and support to therapists, counselors, case managers, and support staff.
  • Promote evidence-based treatment approaches, including CBT, DBT-informed interventions, Motivational Interviewing, and family systems therapy.
  • Support staff professional growth, licensure development, and clinical excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with Colorado regulations, accreditation standards, Medicaid requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and therapeutic environment for clients, families, and staff.
  • Collaborate with schools, probation departments, child welfare agencies, and other community partners.
  • Monitor program quality, outcomes, and operational performance.
  • Encourage meaningful family involvement throughout the treatment process.
