About The Position

Provide counseling to individuals with a substance use disorder in a residential and/or outpatient setting. Facilitate an individual’s treatment progress while guiding them through each phase of their substance use disorder treatment.

Requirements

  • Certified SUD Counselor - Missouri Credentialing Board (CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, or RADC-P)
  • Co-Occurring Disorder Professional - Missouri Credentialing Board (CCDP or CCDP-D) OR licensed/provisionally licensed with one year of SUD treatment experience.
  • Must be certified or registered through the Missouri Credentialing Board.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred for SUD Counselor
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred for Co-Occurring Disorder Professional

Responsibilities

  • Provide services within the 4 performance domains (Screening, Assessment & Engagement; Counseling; Treatment Planning, Collaboration & Referral; Professional, Ethical Responsibilities).
  • Provide Individual Counseling, Group Counseling, and Group Education as scheduled.
  • Advocate for Person(s) served on a case and community level.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team staffing meetings.
  • Represent the agency in a caring and professional manner.
  • Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of diagnostic criteria sets for substance use and/or mental disorders.
  • Orally communicate information effectively and accurately.
  • Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency’s certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.
  • Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.
  • Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
