Quinault Wellness Center (QWC) is looking for a compassionate and motivated Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee (SUDPT) who is ready to grow as a clinician while making a meaningful difference in the lives of people and families. This is more than an entry point into the behavioral health field—it is an opportunity to learn, develop your clinical skills, and build the experience needed to become a Washington State Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) while working alongside experienced professionals in an integrated healthcare environment. As an SUDPT, you will provide substance use disorder counseling, assessment, case management, education, care coordination, and recovery support services under the supervision of an approved Washington State SUDP supervisor. You will gain hands-on experience while receiving the supervision, coaching, feedback, and support needed to develop your clinical knowledge, judgment, and confidence. At QWC, we believe effective recovery care starts with seeing the whole person—not just the substance use disorder. Our approach recognizes the connection between substance use, physical and mental health, trauma, culture, family, housing, social circumstances, and other factors that can influence a person's health and recovery. You will work with patients receiving a variety of treatment approaches, including individuals receiving medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) and individuals participating in substance use disorder treatment without MOUD. You will learn how counseling, recovery support, healthcare, and community resources can come together to support each person's individual goals.
