Substance abuse counselors provide counseling and assessments to patients in our detoxification unit and medically managed residential program. Position : Hiring for full-time position Employment Type: Employee (W-2) , Hourly, Non-Exempt Shift and Schedule: Thursday through Monday 10:00am to 6:00pm Compensation: Starts at $26.57 / hr. Requirements
- Must be a CADC I with experience in Assessments/ASAM
- High school / GED Completion
- Department of Human Services Background Check
- Pre-employment Drug Screening (including Cannabis/THC)
- Effective 03/28/2025- Willamette Family has a required 1 year waiting period before former clients can apply for employment. This policy is in place to ensure professional boundaries and avoid potential conflicts of interest.
Responsibilities
- Provide culturally appropriate substance use services to clients. This includes assessments, progress discussions, and creating/updating individual plans and goals.
- Maintain client case management information and group notes according to organizational policies.
- Work with WF staff and community partners to support client care coordination.
- Model professional communication and a supportive environment, engaging clients in problem-solving and coping strategies.
- Assist with crisis intervention and safety planning
