The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor for the Julian F Keith Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Center (JFKADATC) in Black Mountain. This role involves providing case management services and discharge planning for patients with substance abuse issues, including those experiencing acute and/or chronic crises related to lack of resources. The counselor will work as part of an Interdisciplinary Treatment Team, collaborating with medical, nursing, social work, recreational therapy, and education departments. The position emphasizes establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff, patients, families, and community agencies.
