About The Position

Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team in Weaverville, NC. Since 2005, Crossroads has been a leader in treating patients with opioid use disorder, offering accessible, high-quality, evidence-based medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Our comprehensive approach is the gold standard in care, proven to reduce overdose deaths and promote long-term recovery. Requirements

General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting
No legal impediments to serving in a licensed opiate treatment program
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be registered with the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Certification board (LCAS, LCAS-A, LPC, CADC, or LCSW)
Applicants who are not registered will not be considered for employment

Nice To Haves

Lived addiction experience is a plus
Bachelor's Degree preferred
LCAS preferred

Responsibilities

Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients
Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs
Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning
Manages assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements
Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services
Facilitates urine drug screening for patients
