About The Position
Clarvida is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join their ACT team, which consists of counselors, nurses, therapists, and case managers. This role supports adults in the community who are dealing with substance use and mental health challenges. The position involves completing assessments, providing individual and group counseling, offering crisis support, connecting clients to resources, and advocating for client needs.
Requirements
- Active CAC-I, CAC-II, GCADC-I, CADC, CADC-T, CADC I, CADC II, GMAC or CCIT
- Valid GA driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation
- Satisfactory results of Criminal Background Check
Responsibilities
- Complete assessments to understand clients’ needs, strengths, and histories
- Provide one-on-one and group counseling
- Offer crisis support and interventions
- Connect clients to helpful resources like AA and community programs
- Be an advocate for your client's needs- identifying their strengths and engaging them in their goals
