About The Position

Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to join their team. This role involves providing individual counseling to patients with opioid use disorder, conducting clinical assessments, designing and updating treatment plans, managing caseloads, and collaborating with nurses and providers for holistic treatment. The position is part of an outpatient, office-based clinic focused on medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to combat the opioid epidemic and support patient recovery.

Requirements

• General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting.
• Qualified candidates will hold one or more of the following certifications/licenses: LCSW, LPC, or LCDC - ADC in Texas, or a recognized substance abuse certification from a National Board.
• Candidate must be willing to start early in the morning, as work hours start at 5:00 AM.

Nice To Haves

• Lived addiction experience is a plus.
• Bachelors' degree or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients
• Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs
• Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning
• Manages assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements
• Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services
• Facilitates urine drug screening for patients
