Substance Abuse Counselor - Sparta, TN (OBOT)
About The Position
Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to provide individual counseling to highly complex patients. The role involves conducting clinical assessments, designing and updating treatment plans, managing caseloads, and collaborating with nurses and providers to offer holistic treatment services. The position also includes facilitating urine drug screening for patients. Crossroads Treatment Centers is dedicated to treating patients with opioid use disorder through evidence-based medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and aims to improve health equity and patient outcomes.
Requirements
- General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting.
- LMSW
- LCSW
- LPC
- LADAC
Nice To Haves
- Lived addiction experience is a plus.
- Excellent training if you are new to our field. We are able to offer necessary training/supervision to those in process of becoming fully certified or licensed.
Responsibilities
- Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients
- Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs
- Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning
- Manages assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements
- Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services
- Facilitates urine drug screening for patients
