Substance Abuse Counselor - Abingdon, VA (OBOT)
About The Position
Crossroads Treatment Centers is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to provide individual counseling to highly complex patients. The role involves conducting clinical assessments, designing and updating patient treatment plans, managing caseloads, and collaborating with nurses and providers for holistic treatment. The position also includes facilitating urine drug screening and participating in a Saturday rotation. Crossroads Treatment Centers is dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality, evidence-based medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder, aiming to combat the opioid epidemic and guide patients toward recovery. Requirements
- General experience working with underserved populations in a clinical setting.
- LPC, LCSW, LMFT or LSATP, CSAC or CSAC-S certifications/licenses.
Nice To Haves
- Lived addiction experience is a plus.
- Excellent training if you are new to our field. We are able to offer necessary training/supervision to those in process of becoming fully certified or licensed.
Responsibilities
- Provides individual counseling to highly complex patients.
- Conducts clinical assessments to appropriately assess patient’s treatment needs.
- Designs and updates the patient’s treatment plan, including care coordination, referrals, and discharge planning.
- Manages assigned caseload and compliance with clinical treatment requirements.
- Collaborates with nurses and providers to provide holistic treatment services.
- Facilitates urine drug screening for patients.
