About The Position

Serenity Knolls is seeking a Full Time Substance Abuse Case Manager to provide treatment and support to assist patients in their recovery from substance use, eating disorders or other behavioral problems. Serenity Knolls operates as a 12-step based, social model residential treatment center, which uniquely combines the traditional social model of care with contemporary cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and evidence-based practices. The rate of pay is $25-$28 per hour. The position is located in Lawrence, MA.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or in a human service related field
Treatment planning experience
Clinical documentation experience
Behavioral health experience
Substance abuse experience
Case management experience
Ability to self-motivate and possess strong time-management and organizational skills while managing a high volume of client interactions.

Responsibilities

Acts as a liaison for patients with the referral network.
Assists patients, in agreement with their counselor, to seek social, vocational and rehabilitative services on an as needed basis.
Directs residents in a clear, concise, and informative manner.
Contributes to the Comprehensive Treatment Plan through participation in treatment planning meetings and process.
Completes any necessary client-centered paperwork in a timely manner.
Demonstrates good moral character and even temperament necessary to gain and maintain credibility and trust of persons being served, peers, and management staff.
