About The Position

McLaren Port Huron is seeking to fill the role of the Chief Executive Officer (President/CEO) of the hospital. The President/CEO acts as the hospital’s representative to the Medical Staff, the community, and to other groups external to the operation of the hospital. The President/CEO is responsible for the efficient function and coordination of all activities of the hospital, interpreting and administering policies of the Corporation and Board of Trustees, and ensuring that patient care services provided represent quality professional care. The President/CEO is also responsible for effective management of the physical plant and personnel; to operate within an approved budget on a sound financial basis; community acceptance of hospital programs and services; formation of policies to be considered by the Corporate President/CEO and Board; facilities planning; and market share growth.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business, Health Care Administration or related field.
  • An experienced hospital executive who has proved to be a capable leader in a series of increasingly responsible hospital positions.
  • Must be respected by his/her associates and active in professional organizations.
  • Able to work in cooperation with Board of Trustee, Corporation Administration, the Medical Staff and with community representatives.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in hospital administration in excess of ten (10) years is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage progressively more complex organizations.
