About The Position

The Marketing Director is a strategic leader in developing strategy and overseeing marketing budgets and a team to create brand awareness and revenue growth. You will play an important part in the launch and growth of Kiplinger's new digital subscription offering, making it a unique opportunity to shape a critical revenue stream from the ground up. Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 10 years with proven experience as a Marketing Director or equivalent senior leadership role working with B2C consumers, subscriptions (non and recurring revenue), finance, brand building, and demonstrable experience of marketing transformation and growth.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Leadership: Experience leading teams, project manage, and mentor staff.
  • Organizational: Able to collaborate with teams that are in different time zones and countries.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in Google sheets, slides and analytics tools, such as Google Analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop comprehensive marketing strategies for all Kiplinger brands (KPF, KWL, KTL, KRR, and KII) that directly align with and achieve our goals. You will be responsible for building, and enhancing Kiplinger brands relevance and marketing efforts.
  • Brand and Content Strategy: Work with editorial teams to translate brand heritage and values into emotionally resonant storytelling across channels and campaigns. Develop and implement core brand strategies and manage campaign performance optimization.
  • Partnerships & Monetisation Innovation: Develop strategic partnerships and support new revenue streams such as events and memberships.
  • Campaign Management: Lead the development of campaigns, ensuring creative concepts are impactful, on-brand, and relevant to the target consumer across multiple platforms.
  • Execution Oversight: Manage the creative process internally to bring campaigns to life across all touchpoints, including direct mail, paid and organic social assets, email, websites, ensuring an impactful and cohesive campaign.
  • Financial and Operational Management: Manage the marketing budget to ensure maximum return on investment. Plan and monitor important milestones, guaranteeing the delivery of all marketing deliverables.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze campaign performance in-market, using in-depth social listening to identify learnings and propose improvements. Lead interventions and amplification plans to sustain brand heat as campaigns progress.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align marketing initiatives and objectives with sales, product, and operations teams, as well as market and channel teams, to maintain consistent implementation of plans.
