About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Submarine Radar Engineering Technician with expertise in Integrated Submarine Imaging System (ISIS) to join their team in Pearl Harbor, HI. This role involves providing technical evaluation and performing corrective actions for Virginia Class AN/BVY-1 (ISIS) systems, supporting installation to certification. The technician will engage in installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, and operation of systems, specifically monitoring and servicing AN/BVY ISIS & AN/BPS radar systems at various Naval locations. Responsibilities also include test and evaluation, checkout and certification support, electronic systems validation/verification, equipment impact change proposal reviews, developing technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements, as well as project status and inventory tracking, and component installation and equipment maintenance consistent with engineering plans and contract requirements.

Requirements

Active Secret US Government Clearance.
US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.
Five (5) years of practical experience and High School diploma/GED OR Three (3) years practical experience and an Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology, math, or science; or Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications; or four-year electronics apprentice program.
Practical experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or repair of C5I and/or NC3 systems/equipment.
Experience in the maintenance/repair and/or installation disciplines.
Experience in design, preparation, and modification of engineering documents, and drawings.
Excellent communications and analytical skills.
Ability to travel up to ten (10)% of the time.

Responsibilities

Provide a technical evaluation and perform the required corrective actions for Virginia Class AN/BVY-1 (ISIS) systems.
Support the AN/BVY-1 (ISIS) Virginia Class submarine systems from installation to certification.
Engage in installation, maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, calibration, testing, and operation of systems.
Monitor and service AN/BVY ISIS & AN/BPS radar systems at various Naval locations.
Provide Test and Evaluation, checkout and certification support.
Perform Electronic systems validation/verifications.
Review Equipment impact change proposals.
Develop technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems, technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements.
Track project status and inventory.
Perform components installation, equipment maintenance and systems consistent with engineering plans, layout and contract requirements technical data and evaluation.
