About The Position

Amentum is seeking a talented and motivated Submarine Electronics Engineering Technician to join their Groton, CT team. This position provides onsite installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of AN/BPS-16 series RADAR Set and/or AN/BVY-1 Submarine Imaging System. Requirements

  • Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least 10 years of job-related experience or equivalent.
  • Experience investigating, troubleshooting, and designing solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Virginia Class SSN AN/BPS-16 or (AN/BVY-1) system maintenance and operations.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret US Government Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Install, monitor, and service equipment and systems at Company and client sites.
  • Perform or coordinate test and evaluation, checkout, and certification tasks of AN/BPS-16 or (AN/BVY-1) systems.
  • Perform validations/verifications of various electronic systems related to the operation of the AN/BPS-16 or (AN/BVY-1) systems.
  • Develop technical/engineering data for Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS), Technical manuals, troubleshooting procedures, drawing updates, operation procedures, and maintainability improvements.
  • Implement Engineering Change Instructions (ECI)
  • Train others in the operation and performance of the system(s).
  • Direct on-site customer interface for equipment/system installation, testing, survey, fabrication, and other engineering tasks as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering documentation standards, engineering plans, system specifications and test procedures.
