Submarine Combat Systems Engineer

About The Position

Arcfield is seeking a Submarine Combat Systems Engineer to provide direct support for future AN/BYG-1 Combat Systems. This role involves performing tasks across the full spectrum of research, development, test, and engineering for submarine combat systems and associated payloads. The engineer will provide stakeholders with operational impact and perspective on proposed combat system requirements, missions, and CONOPs. Responsibilities include drafting whitepapers, system requirements, CONOPs, training guides, and other technical documentation for Future Naval Capabilities. The position also requires participation in OPEX, Peer Review, COOPEX, and technical demonstration events, as well as training peers and providing guidance to ensure team knowledge penetration. The engineer will interface with fleet operators, Chief Engineers, Technical Project Managers, and Program Office liaisons on project progress and technical direction.

Requirements

  • Deployed FTOW (E-6 or above preferred) experience (SSN, SSGN, or SSBN)
  • Experience with submarine missile and torpedo systems and payloads
  • EUCOM or INDOPACOM operational experience
  • Experience in collaborative development environment
  • Possess and Maintain a Secret level clearance
  • BS and 5-7 years experience, MS and 3-5 years experience, or PhD and 0-2 years experience. Direct experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
