About The Position

We are Eagle Integrated Solutions, (EIS). We are a government contracting and consulting firm supporting several military installations and federal agencies across the nations. EIS is looking for a candidate to provide professional Subject Matter Expert to join us on our ongoing mission supporting the Navy Drug Lab in Jacksonville, FL.

Requirements

Provides extremely high-level subject matter expertise for work described in the task.
Provides advanced technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and laboratory testing environment, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, training, and implementation advice on complex problems which require doctorate level knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
Applies principles, methods, and knowledge of specific functional areas of expertise to specific task order requirements.
Provides advice on esoteric problems which require extensive knowledge of the subject matter.
Designs and prepares technical reports, studies, and related documentation, makes charts and graphs to record results, prepares and delivers presentations, training, and briefings as required
A Philosophy Degree (PhD in a life or physical science)
at least 10 years of practical, hands-on experience with the laboratory testing within the Navy / DoD.
Active Secret Clearance required.

Responsibilities

Providing expert knowledge, insights, and guidance to the Laboratory Services Directorate, and its subordinate units, to ensure process, project, and policy development and maintenance is aligned with best practices and recognized organizational standards.
Developing, reviewing, and approving scientific documentation (including standard operating procedures, inspection/audit reports, training materials, scientific and research summaries) and ensuring all content is accurate, standards compliant, and audience accessible.
Supporting project planning and execution by contributing to defining project outcomes, setting standards, and establishing deliverables.
Monitoring trends, regulatory changes, and technological / scientific advancements for the purpose of assisting in the identification of process improvements and recommending changes to enhance product quality and/or process efficiency.
Translating complex scientific concepts into information accessible to non-expert audiences to answer inquiries from and provide support to teammates, stakeholders, customers, and the general public.
Leading and/or participating in training sessions, workshops, and meetings to share scientific information and analyses, inform strategy and decision making, and provide mentorship.
Reviewing, validating, and updating deliverable products to ensure accuracy, quality, and requirements compliance, and to limit costly rework.
Supporting inspections, audits, and site visits through expert preparatory (including reviewing prior inspection / audit records, and reviewing relevant records and guidance documents), on-site evaluation (including observing work processes, reviewing work products, and identifying areas of non-compliance as well as areas for improvement), documentary (including recording inspection / audit findings and preparing reports), and follow-up (including recommending corrective / preventive actions and certifying compliance) activities.
Serving as a liaison, as needed, to bridge knowledge gaps, ensure the flow of accurate information, and to align operational and/or project needs with goals and standards.
