About The Position

Precise Systems is seeking a US Navy Personnel Specialist (PS) Rating Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join a collaborative training development team for a DoD customer. This role is based in Florida and offers remote work flexibility, though travel and in-office support may be required based on customer needs and project demands. The SME will serve as the primary resource for in-depth knowledge in their specific area, collaborating with instructional designers to develop and review accurate and relevant training materials. They will identify and capture knowledge from various sources, provide feedback on content, and stay updated on industry advancements. The role also involves acting as a consultant for instructional design, working with cross-functional teams, potentially delivering training, and maintaining documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge in their subject matter, excellent communication skills, an understanding of instructional design, and the ability to analyze information, identify gaps, and resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge and experience in your specific subject matter.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex information.
  • Understanding of instructional design principles and how to create effective learning experiences.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze information, identify gaps, and provide solutions.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues related to training content and delivery.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Minimum 5-7 years system specific experience.
  • BA/BS or equivalent
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Remain up-to-date on the latest industry standards, best practices, and advancements in your area of expertise.
  • Act as a consultant for instructional design, providing guidance and expertise on various aspects of training development.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including instructional designers, trainers, and subject matter experts from other areas.
  • Potentially involved in delivering training sessions or workshops, sharing your expertise directly with learners.
  • Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to your area of expertise.
  • Provides subject matter expertise.
  • Executes tasks and projects relevant to subject matter.
  • Performs studies, analysis and reviews on subjects within the technical scope of the work.
  • Reduces issues to practical recommendation options.
