About The Position

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Electronic Warfare & Radio Frequency Technologies to support advanced engineering, research, and product development initiatives in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in RF systems, EW operations, signal processing, and emerging threat environments. This role is central to guiding engineering teams, shaping technical solutions, and ensuring the successful development and integration of complex EW/RF systems.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline and 8+ years of experience in Electronic Warfare and/or advanced RF systems.
  • Must have a strong understanding of RF theory, signal analysis, radar principles, and electromagnetic spectrum operations.
  • Must have hands-on experience with RF test equipment, modeling tools, or simulation environments.
  • Must be proficienct in interpreting technical specifications, system architectures, and complex engineering data.
  • Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain it.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or higher in a relevant technical field, preferred.
  • Experience with modern EW systems, threat emitter modeling, radar warning receivers, or jamming systems, preferred.
  • Familiarity with digital signal processing (DSP), software-defined radios (SDRs), or real-time embedded systems, preferred.
  • Experience supporting DoD, aerospace, or defense-sector programs, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical authority for EW and RF technologies.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in areas including RF propagation, spectrum operations, waveform analysis, electronic attack (EA), electronic support (ES), and electronic protection (EP).
  • Lead the design, analysis, modeling, and integration of RF/EW subsystems and architectures.
  • Conduct technical assessments, trade studies, vulnerability analyses, and threat evaluations related to RF and EW environments.
  • Support the development of novel signal processing algorithms, detection/identification techniques, and countermeasure strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on system requirements, architecture definition, and technical risk reduction.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality technical documentation, briefings, and customer-facing presentations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge development.
  • Stay current on emerging RF technologies, EW threat vectors, industry trends, and relevant DoD standards.
