About The Position

StraitSys Inc Regular TECHNICAL SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT StraitSys is looking for a Technical Subject Matter Expert(SME) with experience with FBI Laboratory Division(LD) Non-Enterprise IT systems. This role will serve as an expert client consultant guiding system O&M, design, development, and innovation with an advanced understanding of FBI IT system requirements, system architecture, and reporting process. The Technical SME establishes information requirements, using analytical methods, for enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems. Additionally, this position designs architectures that include software, hardware, and communications solutions to support the total requirements, as well as provides for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces. You will be responsible for maintaining overall visibility and innerworkings for all technical aspects of LD non-enterprise IT operations assigned, finding the most efficient system construct either on-premises or utilizing cloud services.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI if required
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business,or related disciplines
  • 15+ years’ experience supporting IT systems in an elevated technical role with a firmunderstanding of network/system architecture, system and database engineering, and cloudsolutions
  • 5+ years’ experience leading teams responsible for O&M, software development (full stack preferred), network and system engineering, and incorporating innovative solutions for Government systems.
  • Software development experience building applications utilizing C# and Java Script programming languages is necessary.
  • Expert technical knowledge and experience of LD non-enterprise IT on-premises and cloudsystems on both unclassified and classified enclaves
  • Ability to reengineer existing network configurations, system architecture, and application source code to determine a modernization or transition strategy for technology within ITSU responsibilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills able to confidently articulate and interact with all levels of Government personnel

Nice To Haves

  • Java and Python programming language knowledge is preferable.
  • Software development experience using Open Search is preferrable.
