Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business management or related field.
  • At least 7 years of directly applicable experience in specialized technical field and is acknowledged as an expert in the specific area; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance.
  • Able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage technical efforts related to the design, integration, fabrication, and construction of complex engineering systems
  • Provide subject matter expertise in fire protection systems, including fire alarm and fire suppression design and compliance (e.g., NFPA codes)
  • Direct and coordinate daily engineering activities supporting ongoing projects and system modifications
  • Serve as technical lead on integration initiatives, including development and issuance of technical reports
  • Support fabrication and installation efforts across multiple concurrent projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project engineering, facility engineering, and installation groups
  • Manage and track assignments, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and mission objectives
  • Interface with senior leadership and external stakeholders, including government customers, to present technical information and project updates
  • Contribute to scope development, project realignment efforts, and continuous improvement initiatives
