About The Position

This role focuses on hands-on automation development, leveraging Java and Python to build and enhance automation frameworks with strong OOP and design principles. The position involves building and maintaining Playwright automation frameworks for modern web applications, automating React JS applications, and creating reusable automation components. A key aspect of this role is applying Prompt Engineering techniques to improve various stages of the testing process, including test design, data generation, defect analysis, and overall automation productivity. The role also requires integrating automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or equivalent) to enable automated execution, reporting, and defect traceability, while tracking automation metrics and ROI. Additionally, the Subcontractor will act as an automation subject matter expert, collaborating with various teams, communicating strategy and progress to senior leadership, and supporting planning and proposal preparation. Mentoring automation engineers, conducting code reviews, and governing automation execution are also crucial responsibilities.

Requirements

Strong OOP and design principles in Java and Python.
Experience with Playwright automation frameworks.
Ability to automate React JS applications, handling dynamic UI components and asynchronous behavior.
Experience creating reusable automation components, utilities, and libraries.
Knowledge of enabling parallel and distributed execution.
Proficiency in Prompt Engineering techniques.
Experience leveraging AI assisted tools for testing.

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance Java- and Python-based automation frameworks with strong OOP and design principles.
Build and maintain Playwright automation frameworks for modern web applications.

Track automation metrics, execution stability, and ROI.
Act as the automation subject matter expert SME for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, and business teams.
Clearly communicate automation strategy, progress, risks, and value to senior leadership.
Support estimation, planning, and proposal preparation for automation initiatives.
Mentor automation engineers and guide teams on framework usage and best practices.

Govern automation execution across projects to ensure consistency and quality.
