This position is located onsite at the MacDill AFB in Tampa, Florida. The incumbent is responsible for all contract and regulatory compliance inspections as required. Inspects work in progress and finished work for discrepancies in accordance with the Quality Control Plan and contract requirements. Completes necessary inspection reports and documentation as required to support findings and updates database.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Accurate data entry and administrative skills.
  • Knowledge of Quality auditing practices.
  • Minimum of five (5) years broad experience in support services contracts, preferably in field maintenance operations.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted standards of workmanship in construction/maintenance of facilities, grounds, and power distribution systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels.
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance.
  • Knowledge of environmental issues relating to contractual requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA & regulations.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • Valid state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).

Responsibilities

  • Inspects work accomplished by Chugach and subcontractor personnel, to ensure Quality standards achieved.
  • Coordinates with customer personnel on matters relating to the quality or quantity of contractor work.
  • Inspects vendor subcontractors performing work for or on behalf of Chugach at this project location.
  • Coordinates with functional managers and supervisors to ensure quality workmanship and timely completion of all tasks.
  • Reports to the Quality Manager on accomplishments, and results of surveys, inspections, and observations relating to performance of Chugach and subcontractor personnel.
  • Ensures scheduled and random sampling inspections are performed and documented and entered into database within assigned time constraints.
  • Verifies and documents customer complaints.
  • Researches and recommends resolutions to all customer complaints.
  • Performs ongoing process analysis on all project functional areas.
  • Performs site, shop, and workplace safety inspections.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Coordinating and overseeing the base’s overhead door systems, automatic gate systems, hood and duct cleaning service setups, and event-related portable restroom logistics.
  • Effectively coordinating several projects simultaneously.
  • Communicating effectively orally and in writing.
  • Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
  • Timely and cost-effective performance of duties.
  • Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
