About The Position

This position is for the AIR6500 program Subcontract Program Management (SPM) Manager located in Adelaide, Australia for a 2 year assignment. The leader will be responsible for managing a team of 7 subcontract professionals with dotted line responsibility for 3 procurement professionals. This role will require frequent executive interaction across the LM Australia (LMA) and US teams. The role will also serve as the liaison between the LMA and US Supply Chain leadership teams for AIR6500 status and reporting. The SPM Manager will provide mentoring, coaching, and on-the-job training to the developing team to grow them into a high performing organization. The leader will also be responsible for ensuring successful execution of the AIR6500 Supply Chain content, which includes multiple major subcontractors and a large amount of material procurement. The program spans the development, transition to production, and production phases of the program lifecycle; experience working in all of these phases is required. The role will also include support to the Lockheed Martin Australia Sourcing Director to help develop and improve Supply Chain processes and tool implementation across the broader organization. AIR6500 is a sovereign Australian program with an Australian customer. The successful candidate will adopt the local Australian culture and customs and learn the Australian contracting process.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain experience, including both subcontract management and material procurement
Experience working development and production programs
Experience working internationally and/or with international suppliers
Leadership experience
Strong negotiation skills
Risk and opportunity management experience
Active Secret clearance required to translate to Australian classification level
Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Experience working in a collaborative OneLM environment
Prior experience working with Australian programs and/or LM Australia
Demonstrated technical aptitude, particularly with software programs
