The Subcontract Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of subcontractor relationships and the direct reports that support this position. The lifecycle of the subcontractor may include prequalification, assistance with subcontractor evaluations, contract award support and management, subcontractor performance monitoring and metrics – including potential inspections, validation of quality and conformance with specifications, invoicing, reviewing any potential subcontract change orders, facilitation of communications and / or project changes, and closeout. This role ensures subcontractors meet the requirements of: The contractual specifications, Schedule – including fabrication, delivery, installation, and checkout, Quality – both off site and on project site, Safety – with a focus on project site, and financial requirements. The Subcontractor Manager also needs to be able to adapt to different project strategies as determined with the client. Certain clients might have existing relationships, commitments, or suppliers that will be engaged as subcontractors.
