About The Position

This position offers an exciting opportunity to support the operations by developing and managing the supply chain which ensures program success! This position requires the preparation of subcontracts and support documentation in accordance with departmental policies and FAR/DFAR/ITAR regulations. You must have experience in handling international procurements and suppliers. Submit compliant RFQ’s/RFPs to suppliers to obtain pricing. Perform cost and price analysis and assist with technical assessments of supplier’s proposals. Monitor supplier’s delivery commitments and work with them to ensure contract delivery dates are met. Administer subcontracts for all programs including all phases of activity from business development and capture strategy, pre-solicitation, proposal, award, post award, and closeout. This includes negotiation, documentation, placement, and administration of complex and high-dollar products under various contract types including cost type subcontracts. Support major business proposal initiatives by requesting, analyzing, and evaluating supplier proposals/quotations, performing analysis, and negotiating for fair and reasonable price. Ensure compliance with program and FAR requirements and subcontract terms and conditions. Participate in continuous improvement events. Assist other subcontract team members with day-to-day activities. Build and maintain constructive, professional relationships with Customers and Suppliers. Participate in program and subcontract supplier reviews. Manage complex high-dollar subcontracts from supplier selection to RFP/RFQ submission, to proposal/quote receipt, to analyzing proposal/quote, negotiating proposal/quote, documenting PO, and monitoring supplier issues and delivery. Demonstrate ability to successfully manage long term, complex supplier relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related course material.
  • 5 years relevant experience or an advanced degree and 3 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in FAR/DFAR/ITAR regulations.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
