Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician, auto mechanic, or service technician
- Experience with diagnostics, electrical systems, and drivability concerns preferred
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume service department
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Must have own tools required to perform technician duties
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs done right the first time
- Team-oriented mindset with a professional attitude and strong work ethic
Nice To Haves
- Subaru experience or Subaru certification is a plus (not required)
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on Subaru vehicles (engine, transmission, electrical, brakes, suspension)
- Conduct thorough multi-point inspections and document findings with notes, photos, and/or video
- Accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using scan tools and diagnostic equipment
- Complete customer-pay, warranty, and internal repair orders efficiently and correctly
- Communicate repair needs and recommendations clearly with service advisors
- Follow Subaru manufacturer standards and dealership repair procedures
- Road test vehicles to confirm concerns and verify completed repairs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area
- Collaborate with other automotive technicians and service team members to maximize shop productivity
- Participate in ongoing automotive training and Subaru certification programs
