About The Position

This position is a Sub Separate Special Education Teacher (upper elementary students) which is located at Halifax Elementary School. This position is a substantially separate classroom working with students who are developmentally delayed, have neurological disabilities, and Autism and reports the building principal. The candidate should have: knowledge and/or experience in providing an ABA approach, using communication devices, using data to inform instruction and develop/implement IEP plans. a moderate or severe disability license. They will be responsible for evaluating students, writing IEPs and Progress Reports and attending IEP Meetings. This candidate will work with students on academic, social and behavioral skills as well as toilet training and should be able to communicate well verbally and in writing. It is expected the candidate will collaborate with other staff members.

Requirements

• Knowledge and/or experience in providing an ABA approach
