About The Position

This position involves providing 1:1 nursing care for students on school transportation and within the school setting. The Sub Nurse will monitor and document student health status, communicate with families and staff, and collaborate with school personnel to ensure students can access their education. Maintaining accurate health records in compliance with regulations is a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

• Current and valid LPN or RN license in the state of Michigan
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and respond effectively in dynamic environments

Nice To Haves

• Experience in pediatric, community health, or school nursing
• Experience supporting students with specialized health needs such as Diabetes, Seizures, Tracheostomies, G-Tubes, Ventilators, etc.
• Familiarity with special education processes and documentation
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centered care
