Sub Driver Trainee
About The Position
The Center for Disability Services is seeking Sub Driver Trainees to join their team. This is a paid training program designed to help individuals obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL). The program includes preparation for the written test for a permit and resources for the road test to obtain a license. The position involves transporting individuals with developmental disabilities by operating various types of vans and buses safely and courteously in all conditions and following all rules and regulations. The Center for Disability Services has been a provider of programs and services for individuals with disabilities for 80 years and is committed to making a difference and shaping an inclusive future.
Requirements
- Ability to follow directions, communicate, perform simple math functions, and know basic weights and measures.
- Valid NYS Class D License.
- Ability to train and pass CDL Permit and License (B or C).
- At least 5 years of active driving experience.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must be available to work out of Albany and Niskayuna locations.
Responsibilities
