About The Position

An associate performs line assembly operations to produce pre-assembled components that are necessary to complete the seat product for the heavy-duty truck industry by performing the following duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one - or two - step instructions.
  • Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to read a print and to use the print in the production of a finished part.
  • Ability to utilize a process sheet to aid in the production process.
  • Work as a team member in a group setting, such as a work cell (cross training).
  • Identify problems that affect quality and ability to assemble.
  • Ability to train new employees in the assembly process.
  • Follow and adhere to safety rules and regulations, employee handbook to be included (housekeeping, rules, etc).
