About The Position

Experienced sUAS operators and instructors are needed to serve as cadre for the MIRC sUAS Master Trainer Program’s Advanced Course (Module 2). This is a 3-week intensive curriculum designed to transform basic sUAS operators into certified Master Trainers who can integrate drone operations across the Intelligence and Protection Warfighting Functions. The role involves delivering hands-on training in FPV tactical flight, ISR collection and PED, electronic warfare fundamentals, counter-UAS operations, and integrated field exercises, including a 72-hour culminating scenario. This is a field-oriented position requiring instructors to fly, plan missions, run live exercises, and mentor soldiers under field conditions. Instructors will work in two-person teams per cohort, covering FPV strike, Intelligence/EW, and safety duties. When not deployed to a cohort, responsibilities include curriculum development, equipment maintenance, and assisting with Module 1 instruction.

Requirements

Experienced sUAS operators and instructors.
Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
Willingness to work as a 1099 contractor.
Availability for curriculum development starting in May (3-6 weeks).
Willingness to travel within the eastern US for training.

Responsibilities

Deliver hands-on training in FPV tactical flight, ISR collection and PED, electronic warfare fundamentals, counter-UAS operations.
Conduct integrated field exercises, including a 72-hour culminating scenario.
Fly, plan missions, run live exercises, and mentor soldiers under field conditions.
Work in a two-person instructor team per cohort, cross-covering FPV strike, Intelligence/EW, and safety duties.
Contribute to curriculum development when not deployed to a cohort.
Perform equipment maintenance.
Provide Module 1 instruction as needed.
