About The Position

This position involves supervising students in an assigned location before school and during study hall. The Study Hall Monitor will assist students with homework, monitor device usage, keep accurate student counts and whereabouts, complete behavior sheets, and document behaviors. The role may also require covering advisory periods and communicating with teachers to assist with homework and projects during study hall. The position requires maintaining a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality, similar to that expected of licensed teachers.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent
• Supervise Students in an assigned location before school
• Follow consistent building expectations by supervising students during study hall
• Assist with homework
• Monitor device (iPad) usage
• Keep physical student counts and whereabouts
• Complete behavior sheets
• Document behaviors
• Cover advisory if needed
• Communicate with and assist teachers with homework and projects that need to worked on during study hall
• Maintain the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully licensed teachers
