About The Position

As the Study Abroad Advisor/Bilingual Coordinator with Student Financial Services you serve as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and parents, providing day‑to‑day advising and support. In this role, you coordinate study abroad financial aid processing and assist Spanish‑speaking students and families with questions related to financial aid and scholarships. Your programmatic responsibilities may include making award adjustments, exercising professional judgment, and conducting needs analyses. As a bilingual coordinator, you also support recruitment, retention advising, and outreach efforts.

Requirements

  • Bilingual/Bi-literate (Spanish-English)
  • Experience in customer service
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Developed skills in written and verbal communication, including experience with large group presentations
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including occasional weekends/evenings
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting rules and regulations
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
  • Student Services Professional: Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of professional work experience in student services. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.
  • Student Services Coordinator/Advisor 1 Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.
