The Office for Global Health, Safety and Security is seeking a candidate who brings strong interpersonal and operational skills, with the ability to diplomatically navigate global cultural nuances, and safety considerations in support of over 7,000 international travelers annually within a large R1 academic environment. The ideal candidate will have strong soft-skills and can brief and engage stakeholders from first-year students to senior faculty and executive leadership. The Global Safety, Operations and Logistics Coordinator serves as a member of the Office for Global Health, Safety and Security and supports operational management of international health and safety matters. In collaboration with the Director of Global Health, Safety and Security and the other Coordinator for Global Health, Safety, and Security, the Global Safety Coordinator will oversee office management, analysis, travel preparedness and plan response strategies to promote and protect the well-being of Michigan State University (MSU) travelers. This position calls for a collaborative team-player and systems-thinker with excellent presentation and writing skills. Hybrid work statement: The department is currently operating under a hybrid modality structure, with staff working three days in person and two days remotely. This structure is subject to change at any time.
