Design Workshop is seeking accomplished landscape architecture leaders to join their studios as Studio Practice Leaders. This role is for experienced practitioners who want to grow a practice, build client relationships, mentor future leaders, and shape the future of an employee-owned firm. Design Workshop is a 100% employee-owned landscape architecture, planning, and urban design firm with a global presence across seven US studios. They focus on creating resilient, meaningful places where people and environments thrive, using research, collaboration, and innovative design to transform visions into measurable impact and enduring legacies. The firm's mission is to turn ideas into impact through collaborative spirit, overcoming complexity with design, process, and purpose. The Studio Practice Leader, in partnership with the Studio Leader/Principal, is responsible for advancing the studio in four key areas: Business, Leadership, People, and Content. This is a practice-building leadership role requiring candidates with an established professional network, strong market relationships, and a proven ability to originate and secure significant new work. They should be recognized and trusted within the profession and among clients, developers, public agencies, and other relevant decision-makers. Studio Practice Leaders are expected to actively cultivate new clients and markets while expanding existing relationships, while also remaining engaged in the work, providing design judgment, strategic thinking, and technical expertise to complex challenges and creating opportunities for others to lead.
