About The Position

StarFit Studio is seeking a passionate Studio Manager / Head Trainer to lead coaching, foster community, and ensure an exceptional client experience. This hybrid role involves approximately 15-20 hours of coaching per week and supporting daily studio operations. Requirements

  • Certified Personal Trainer (or equivalent education)
  • CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Comfortable with scheduling tools, basic spreadsheets, and studio systems

Nice To Haves

  • 1–3+ years of group fitness coaching experience
  • Management experience in a boutique fitness environment

Responsibilities

  • Lead studio outreach, including lead follow-up and membership sales.
  • Conduct consultations to help prospective clients find suitable programs.
  • Build strong relationships with members, ensuring they feel welcomed, supported, and connected.
  • Manage the new client experience from introduction to ongoing engagement.
  • Support member retention through consistent communication and exceptional hospitality.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, high-energy studio environment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve client experience and strengthen studio culture.
  • Train 15-20 hours per week, delivering high-energy, results-driven sessions (mix of small group and semi-private).
  • Set the standard for coaching quality, energy, and client connection.
  • Support the onboarding and development of new trainers.
  • Serve as the go-to person for filling gaps in the coaching schedule, including last-minute changes.
  • Maintain flexibility in availability (early mornings, evenings, weekends) to support business needs.
  • Help ensure all sessions are consistently staffed with high-quality coaches.
  • Assist with day-to-day studio operations, including inventory, organization, and cleanliness.
  • Help manage promotions and client communications.
  • Respond to client questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support local outreach and community-building efforts.
  • Assist ownership/management with ongoing projects and studio initiatives.
  • Help ensure the studio space and equipment are always clean, organized, and fully functional.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and mentorship to coaching staff.
  • Lead by example and help elevate the overall performance of the team.
